Acumatica 2019 R2 New Features and Enhancements

Improved productivity and business growth are the key priorities of any company. The release of Acumatica 2019 R2, based on the recommendations of community, partners, and customers, provides a wide range of opportunities to create a more user-friendly cloud ERP system. 

The huge improvements have been matched with the Acumatica platform and usability as well as business functionality. Additionally, new features were added in the Industry-specific applications.

Side Panel UI allows users to see all the information of a row or an inquiry without leaving the screen.  Pivot tables with improved dashboards facilitate tables to be displayed in the dashboards of the widgets.
User-Defined Fields provide an option to add new fields without developers’ help. Global messaging services provide SMS notification to users even if they have no installed mobile application.    
Custom colors in UI allow users to set the main color for central and branch locations which eventually reduces human errors.   The introduction of Google G-suite integration as well as enhancements to the HubSpot integration. The latter coupled with the improved Power BI and Tableau tools provide real-time syncing. 
Conditional highlighting Inquiries: the system offers certain elements of an inquiry based on the visual clues of rows and columns. Dashboard tables: with the usage of conditional formatting, users now can choose the style of a row or a column as well as use formulas.
Progress Bar for long-running processing runs in a pop-up window. It provides data about the completion percentage and the remaining time for the running process. Simplified Company/Branch selector lets users select a branch in one click.

Financial Management

The updated version allows the Application of payments to specific lines of Account payable documents. Now users can make partial payments to an AP document. At the same time, payments can be completed in various proportions. Also, there is a possibility of tracking of retainage payments. 

Furthermore, the system supports the ability to approve AR invoices, credit and debit memos. Corporate credit card support and reconciliation also are available in the updated software applications. 

Project Accounting 

Due to the detailed level of the Project Budget level, users can update data in both detailed levels and at the summary. The system allows people to forecast budgets per period as well as to compare actual costs or incomes with the expected ones.      

The implementation of Two-Tier Change Management now facilitates users to group a wide range of multiple change requests in the desired order.  

Inventory and Order Management 

The order screen now provides information about items. Users can select the price of any item and vendors. The updated Prepayment system facilitates customers to add one or more prepayment requests to purchase orders. 

The advanced picking options for The Warehouse Management System as well as International Shipping have been implemented as well. By using scanners, users can obtain information about operations related to picking, packaging, receiving, transferring or physical counting.      

Manufacturing 

The enhanced Engineering Change Control now manages the workflow from the request by creating the change order and updating BOM (the bill of material). 

The Finite Capacity Planning has been improved as well. Now it allows planning both at the workstation and machine level. This makes it possible for users to provide accurate ship dates with customers by using capable-to-promise (CTP) during scheduling tools and special requests from customers.
